Good show, good show. We felt a good one coming and Shea Riley's usually delivers. We played to a smaller crowd than we've been playing to lately, which is weird to say, but still had great time. We got a little crazy with this setlist, playing Sit Down second and Take Me Back towards the middle of the set. So there's that. Also got a few new "fans" out to see the show, and they said they really enjoyed it. Other people left during the set, so you never know. Oh, and Stein about passed out from rocking...not like in a chair, but actual rocking.

Review:
Ok, so we had a lot going on with this show. First off, we weren't sure if we were going to be able to play because Ryan was coming in from out of town and probably wouldn't be arriving until right at show time. The whole day involved a lot of those cellular phone call thingys, but eventually we got word that Ryan was probably going to make it. So, Ged and Stein set up all the equipment in hopes that Ryan would make it...and he did...7 minutes before we were scheduled to go on...which totally rocked because he had time to use the bathroom.
We tried to pack as much rocking into this set as possible since we only had a short amount of time to impress the audience. Successful?...probably, but you never know. The crowd may have been into mellow, jazz flute...we didn't really ask them.
The highlight of the night for us, BY FAR, was when Rhett (former singer for one of our favorite bands, Carolyn's Mother) came up on stage, WITH US, and sang Back Porch while we attempted to recreate the music. Everything was going along fine until the very end when Rhett somewhat forgot how the song went (you can't blame him, he hasn't played that song for years) and Stein screwed up the very very end part on the drums. However, all the old Carolyn's Mother fans really seemed to enjoy it, probably not 1/12 as much as we did, but it's "all good," as the kids say these days.
All and all, this was by far, one of, if not the most memorable show we've played. We couldn't have asked for things to turn out much better than they did. The stars must have aligned for us that night or something. And no, we don't hold it against Lovetap for not remembering our name. Eventually one of their guys did because they got it right...probably because it's written on the back wall.
