Review:

We totally got to feel like rockstars at this show, with our press kit photoshoot right before we went on stage. New song "Please Baby Please" was debuted at this show, and was fairly good, even though Ryan was teaching it to Connealy while Paul was introducing the song. Though Connealy's comedy routine was "on" this night because he pointed out that whenever we debut new songs we don't teach them to him until we get on stage...maybe somebody should come to practice more often...I'm just sayin'. The show was pretty good, but compared to the string of 9 or 10 that were great, we determined we could have played better. We also determined that there's just something about Maggie McCalls and us playing ok...that something is the fact that we each get three free drinks.

Review:

We had a great turnout and packed the place. One of the best shows we've played at Shea Riley's, so a big thanks to everyone who came out. We threw a couple covers into the setlist that weren't originally there because we had to compete with Third Frate pulling out the Darkness cover...those punks from Chinatown. (That's right, a Big Trouble In Little China reference.)

This is actually the first time that we've ever had the plug pulled on us, though, which was odd. After we finished "See You Again" we were actually planning on playing two more songs("Run Away" and "Take Me Back"), but they shut us down. This is what we feared from the get go, because After the Fall took their sweet ass time with their set and we didn't take the stage until about 12:15. Then, they cut us off at 12:50 when they told us we could play until 1:00 "for sure." The crowd was more pissed than we were...we were just kind of perplexed. But I guess we were lucky to get in the number of songs we did. And we didn't want to Omaha our boys from Third Frate so we didn't play third like we were supposed to.

Oh, and I broke three sticks.
