Review:

So when two national bands drop off the Tuesday night bill, the only logical thing to do is have a better show without them. Once we started setting up on stage after the first band, there was some skepticism about debuting our newest song, "Virginia's Waiting." But, having been in the band for quite sometime now, I knew that this was 1) The skepticism that we always have at shows where we debut new songs, and 2) The guys attempt to not play the song that I had a majority hand in writing. So I told them that, "I don't (beep)in' care what you think, we're playing the song." You know, take charge and give the illusion that I remembered how to play the song. Well, we hit the 6th song in the setlist, explained to everyone how if they liked the song it was "a collaborative band effort" and if they didn't like it, it was "Taylor's song,"...then we toasted to f-in' up, took a shot of tequila, and played the song. And somehow it went really well...much better than expected. Then, when we finished the set, all the talk from the crowd was about how they really liked the new song. So take that Kosola! Actually, this is a good thing because now it's going to make Ryan finish one of his new songs so he can get the praise...but can you blame him? No lead singer wants to be upstaged by a drummer...especially the one in this band!
