Review:

Well the fun started early in the evening with a little mix up in the lineup, but things got solved and Third Frate took the stage and played an entirely original set for the first time that I've ever seen...and I've seen them a lot. They busted out a few new tunes and then got the hell off the stage so we could play our outlandish Birthday/Birthday/Engagement party show. And it started off with a bang. Jeremy from Third Frate has started rocking some background vocals on his favorite song of ours, 1:52, when they play with us. Only this time we through a little wrench in Jeremy's plan because Ryan forgot the words to his own song so Jeremy was way lost and trying to figure out what was going on. All we could do was laugh...and then kick him off the stage.

The rest of the show was pretty sweet, as we played a lot of new songs that we haven't recorded yet. Heard a lot of positive things about "I Say" from the crowd...yet everyone still describes it as, "that really short one you played." All in all, a great show at The Waiting Room. Talk about coming a long ways since the days of basement shows...playing one of the best venue's in Omaha, during the summer, on a Saturday night...hell, the next best thing would be being band of the week on KXVO's 10:00 News...oh, snap, we've done that too!

Review:

Well the old OA crew was out in full form for this show, and it was good to see that Tom was still alive. The show was pretty awesome...one of the best we've played in awhile. Blameshift, from New York, kick off the show and kicked everyone's ass at the same time. They'd been touring for something like 48 days straight, so they were very tight in what they did...and they had their own light show which was pretty sweet. They went out to eat with most of us after the show and then crashed at Ryan's...in hopes that someday they might have to return the favor if we're ever in NY.

Review:

Lets just get this out of the way, we love playing with Third Frate, we love playing the Barley Street, and we love it when pornstars come to our shows...and not necessarily in that order. But, as usual, we had a great crowd at the BST, especially for a Wednesday, and all four of us played...and that's a rare thing for us these days at the Barley Street! Jeremy, from Third Frate, wanted us to play "Pennsylvania" so we told him that he had to sing his old favorite song of ours, "1:52"...but he ended up just doing backup because he said he'd never heard the second verse before. Not sure what that's all about. Oh, and Ryan forgot the words to "Laid" which was pretty hilarious because the crowd started booing and throwing rotten tomatoes at us. Man I love the Barley Street!

Review:

Our first show at Muldoons was riddled with confusion. For awhile we had no opening act, the about a month prior we booked Mr. Important. Then, 4 days before the show we found out that Muldoons has a no swearing policy for bands (which is brilliant for a bar to have, by the way) so Mr. Important dropped out and we were told to find someone. After exhausting all of our options prior to getting Mr. Important booked, we ended up calling upon The Brothers (formerly Clubs of Branches, formerly Ice Water...or something like that, but always Matt and Mike Geiler). So then a few hours before load in we find out that the production company booked an opener as well, which means that we went from no opener a day before to two on the day of the show.

I only mention all that because there's really nothing else to talk about. It really wasn't a big deal at all and the show went off without a hitch. But by far the highlight of the evening was The Brothers. I've seen them play a thousand shows and guess what...they've rocked them all. However this one was especially good, with songs like "Tree Rape," and acoustic version of "Don't Touch Me There," (which some critics may argue is better than the original)...and improvised songs "The Universe," "Mathmatics," "Crazy Game of Poker" and "Paul Gedbaw." That's right, they improvised a song about Paul and we really should have been recording it but we were too busy crying because of the hilarity.

Wave Goodbye
I Say
Indecision

See You Again
Take Me Back

Review:

The evening started out as it usually does in Benson, with half of the band being on time and going to the Pizza Shoppe and the other half getting there whenever. But hey, I'm not complaining because I was in the "on time" half so I got some pizza. As for the show, we played really well (at least according to the fellas from Fork In The Road who said it was the best they'd ever seen us play), however, Paul said that's just because we've only played 3 other shows with them.

No matter. We got what I wanted out of the night because Richard came up and got some footage of us playing for our upcoming music video, which should debut sometime before our next gig at the Waiting Room...hopefully.
