It was great to get back to the Waiting Room...but it was a Sunday. We did have three verified people there to see us, but one of them didn't count. Todd rocks, though. He made a killer setlist.

Review:
Seeing as how it was our first time playing Rebels, the biggest adventure of the evening was everyone trying to find the place. It's really not that hard, but if you print the map off of Google Maps, it tells you the wrong directions and you end up in the middle of a Council Bluffs neighborhood. Stupid Google Maps...what was Andy Samberg thinking?...he must have been too hopped up on Red Vines and Pibb... (if you don't get it, search "SNL Chronicles of Narnia"...Google is probably the way to search)
I digress...the show was fun. Indecision brought the crowd and played first at a show they setup, but that's cool...if they wanted us to headline then no problem...because we've headlined a thousand shows, and guess what...we've rocked 'em all. Man, I'm into quoting things tonight. Nothing too out of the ordinary, except that we played trickshot pool during Third Frate's set and then they couldn't get back at us by leaving because I was playing Tim's drums. That was all planned, just so you know. And true believers, or fans as there known in things that aren't movies about comic books, will notice that we ended the show with Indecision and Take Me Back was nowhere to be found. Why you ask? Well, we wanted to play Indecision and since Rebels is a pretty Christian type venue (no swearing or humping the air or girls on stage), we weren't sure if they would kick us out if we verbally humped the crowd with Indy's lyrics. So we played it last, figuring the worst they could do was tell us to stop and then we'd already be done.

This was probably the best lineup in the history the Barley Street Tavern, the Omaha music scene, and probably mankind. Great music and great crowds all night long. Big thanks to Third Frate for letting us on the bill, to Whipkey for letting us use his drums, to Jef at the Barley Street for being such a good guy, to corduroy blazers, to conductor hats, and to South Park Pinball machines.
And, I'm proud to say that we unofficially stole Third Frate's groupies for the evening. Thanks for dancing up front, ladies, whether it was official or just a ploy to make us feel good, we appreciate it nonetheless...and since the stage is only 3 inches higher than the floor, thanks for blocking everyone elses view.

Review:
Well, it's been a long road to get to this point...isn't that what you're supposed to say? How it all sucked at the beginning, but we stuck with it and here we are 7 years and 100 shows later? Well that's dumb...I'm not going to say that, aside from pointing out the fact that I'm not going to say it. Sure we've been rocking for awhile now, but that doesn't mean we're not the same cocky, arrogant, bastard rockstars that we've always been.
Alright, that was a bit much. Besides thanking the crowd for all the support over the years and letting everyone know this was our 100th show, it wasn't that much different from any other show. We started out with Indecision and Run Away, as a throwback to the old days. Those are the only two songs that we still play on a regular basis that were played on our first show with Connealy. (I believe we had three shows prior to Connealy joining the band...but I could be wrong.) Run Away was definitely missing some tequila shots...actually, the whole night was missing shots, but oh well...we'll get plastered when we turn 200.
Then we got into the new staples that you've all expected to hear since the release of BABD...the hits, as Matt Geiler would say. Probably the best part of the whole show was at the end when we finished the last note of Take Me Back and giant bags of confetti dumped all over us and the crowd. What a way to turn 100!
What, you don't believe me? Then you should have been there...or not gotten so drunk.
